Headphone Hell

Ello, mates! I was sitting on the couch, watching the Packers (unfortanetly) woop the Bears, wondering  what I was going to post about. Maybe stupid people on Facebook, maybe some weird memory of mine, maybe something music related. Then it came to me; I should talk about the curse that has been layed upon me. The very bane of my existence:

HEADPHONE HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is to say, I've apparently been cursed by the music god's with an endless stream of crappy earbuds/headphones. And it's very frustrating. My problem first started with the iPod headphones I got with my iPod Touch 3G about a year ago. They were fine, they served the purpose they were set out to do. But one day, the right side just went dead. And this was fine, the left side still worked. Until one day in study hall it just died. Their is no more of a depressing moment in my normal day than when I have to turn my  music off. And this killed me. What was I supposed to do?

Well, I just bought another pair. They were about $3. And they were pretty good. Until they died, 2 weeks later. So I bought another pair, which died 2 weeks later. Now I'm mad. Why the hell do my earbuds keep dying? What could I have possibly done to deserve this? So, for the next 3 weeks, I was forced to use these crappy headphones I got from school. They didn't break on me (yet), and eventually I bought another pair of earbuds. Noise-canceling earbuds, in fact. Just what I needed. I also bought a pair of DJ-style headphones for $5. And everything was going great. For about 4 weeks. The headphones went first (stupid eco-friendly piece of junk) and then my earbuds died.

So now, I've resorted to using my mom's old earbuds. They still work, a year after she bought them. But I want my own pair. So, I ask you good people of my blog, what are some good earbuds/headphones to buy?

  1. I can't stand buds. I had a pair of Sony thing that hung over my ears that worked well for me on a noisy train commute.

  3. @Sanchez, would you happen to know how much those would cost? @Chris, I used to have that problem too, especially when I would do any type of clean or snatch.

  6. if your earbuds from apple are less than a year old, it's still covered by apple's warranty and you can get a new pair for free :3
